Oporto Portugal to Santiago De Compostela Spain Sponsored Walk On the 2nd September our friend and sponsor Sean O'Byrne will start a 150 mile sponsored walk in aid of Bahay ng Pag-asa. Sean has been a wonderful supporter of the work of Bahay ng Pag-asa for several years and we really do wish him the very best of luck with this mammoth endeavour. If you would like to help make Sean's feet a little lighter by sponsoring him or for more information about his trip please contact us Thank you Sean God Speed! Sean getting in some training before he sets of for Portugal Returning to the Mission Nickie will be returning to the Mission on the 19th August. It has been several months since my last visit to Bahay ng Pag-asa and I am really looking forward to seeing the children and continuing with my work. Please continue to pray for the continued success of Bahay ng Pag-asa Nickie Annual General Meeting The Annual General Meeting was held on the 2nd August. Unfortunately due to holidays and illness there were very few members in attendance, but we would like to thank those who did make the meeting and thank them for all their input. The Missions immediate concern is to raise enough funds to enable us to purchase a permanent home for the orphanage and outreach centre. Our lease expires in January and then we will technically be homeless... We cannot allow this to happen to the children again! Over the next few months we will be staging several fund-raising events which we hope you will support as we need to raise approximately £7,000 So if you just happen to have a spare few thousand lying around I know a good "home" for it heehee! CHRISTMAS TOY APPEAL As in previous years we will be visiting local hospitals at Christmas to spread a little Christmas joy to sick children by giving them toys and sweets. Last Christmas we made 250 children smile... Please help us to make even more children smile this Christmas by donating a toy (new or good condition used) Click here to Donate A Toy |
| A Huge Thank You to Sean for the £430 he raised for the Mission on his walk from Oporto to Santiago De Compostela! |

| I was due to return to the mission on January 12th but just a few days before I was due to leave, my 93 year old aunt was rushed into hospital and was not expected to make it! Auntie Millie and I are very close, so I cancelled my flight, and went to stay in Devon with my cousin for a month, spending every day with my aunt at the hospital... Well God is good, and they certainly made that generation to last... Auntie made a full recovery and is now at home safe and sound.... But as I have said over and over again everything is for a purpose, and I'm very sad to say that two weeks after I returned from Devon my mother was taken ill, and sadly on the 9th March she passed away.... Eternal rest grant unto her Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her, may her soul and the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace, Amen! |
